Rex recovers with a little help from the veterinary community

Rex is a faithful service dog for a retired military veteran. The canine companion began experiencing paraplegia in his back legs and developed difficulty in walking. Without surgery, Rex would have lost his ability to walk and would not be able to continue providing support to his owner. Thanks to AVMF supporters like you, Rex’s story didn’t end there.

With a little help from the AVMF National Veterinary Charitable Care Grant Program for military veterans, Rex received the veterinary medical treatment he required. The surgery was a success and he is now home with his owner, working on his recovery.
