With the help of your generous gifts to the Ukraine Disaster Relief program, AVMF has been able to support the efforts of the Ukrainian Small Animal Veterinary Association (USAVA), Polish Small Animal Veterinary Association (PSAVA), Greater Good Charities, International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), Street Dog Coalition, and European Association of Zoos and Aquaria. Veterinary clinics, rescue organizations, and shelters are making every effort to provide urgent medical care to displaced animals.

Meet Maggie, a mixed-breed dog who recently hit a rough patch. After losing her best friend and pack mate, her owners assumed her lethargy was grief. But when her condition worsened, they realized something was definitely wrong. Find out how Maggie narrowly escaped the fate of euthanasia.

Two veterinary researchers were selected out of 29 top-quality research grant applicants. Dr. Megan Grobman is an Assistant Professor of Small Animal Internal Medicine at Auburn University. Dr. Sarah A. Hamer, pictured left, is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology at Texas A&M.
