Research support
Animal health research is crucial to the future of veterinary medicine. AVMF devotes its efforts to raising financial support for research projects that will help lead to improved prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of prevalent, life-threatening diseases in animals.
Because AVMF’s community of donors continually comes forward (both before and during times of crisis), the AVMF can offer grants for disaster relief and reimbursement to those providing essential veterinary medical care. Our aim is to be mobilized to provide support for disasters big and small, from coastal hurricanes devastating entire regions to local floods in smaller communities.
