Veteran’s service animals grant

AVMA member veterinarians who provide charitable veterinary care for dogs and service animals of military veterans may be eligible to apply for a special veterans grant through AVMF.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Be a current AVMA member veterinarian – pet owners are not eligible to apply.
- Have provided treatment of illness or conditions requiring immediate veterinary medical care to an animal whose owner is a military veteran.
- First preference given to a certified service animals.
- Grant requests up to $2,000.
- Funds are limited and will be distributed as they are available.
