AVMF ensures that the profession continues to thrive, helping animals now and in the future. We are ready to support the veterinary community in times of need – when natural disasters strike, or when financial hardships impact pet owners’ ability to seek veterinary medical care. And we also support excellence in veterinary medicine through scholarships and research support grants.
The AVMF REACH Program aims to break down barriers to access to immediate veterinary care by offering grants to AVMA members nationwide, increasing assistance and access to the most vulnerable communities.
Disaster Relief and Reimbursement Grants help animals and those that care for them following devastating events.
Funding supports research projects designed to improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases in animals through veterinary pharmacology.
We believe that by investing in the education of veterinary students we play a role in ensuring that future veterinarians have the training necessary to treat our pets, safeguard our food supply, and protect public health.
The AVMF has expanded our veterinary student scholarship program, and we are currently looking for additional volunteers to serve on the AVMF Scholarship Review Committee.
