The American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) is the charitable arm of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), one of the oldest and largest veterinary medical organizations in the world.
More than 105,000 member veterinarians worldwide are engaged in a wide variety of professional activities. The Foundation, founded in 1963, is headquartered in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Since its inception, AVMF has provided grants to help veterinarians* help animals through education, animal welfare, disaster relief, and research programs.
For 60 years, the AVMF has been dedicated to developing resources to advance veterinary medicine to improve animal and human health through support programs.
