Guidelines for collecting AVMF REACH Program™ gifts

Thank you for choosing to share the REACH program with your clients. Before proceeding, please take a moment to review the guidelines below, and submit your consent.

AVMF REACH Logo

• You may use the AVMF REACH logo provided within this Toolkit. However, the logo must be utilized as specified herein for use on your website, social media, or attached to emails pertaining the AVMF REACH Program
• You may NOT use the AVMF REACH logo in any other capacity, including but not limited to: on merchandise, in clinic promotion, in non-REACH related fundraising activities or in implied association with, endorsement, and/or promotion of your clinic by the AVMF
• If you are unsure if you can utilize the logo in a certain instance, please contact Melanie Kreiling at mkreiling@avma.org
• You may NOT digitally alter the AVMF REACH logo in any capacity, including color, font size or general appearance
• By using the AVMF REACH logo, you agree to follow AVMF’s instructions regarding its use and promptly cease any use deemed objectionable by AVMF

AVMF REACH QR Code

• The provided QR code leads directly to our AVMF REACH Program page online. It is to be utilized as specified herein for online and mobile use, in social media posts as well as in email communication and/or in print only
• Clients and potential donors should be directed to the QR code (cash donations should be discouraged)

Social Media and Sample Posts

• Although the verbiage included in a social media/clinic post may be altered, the content of the image provided in the toolkit may not
• Images provided for use in such posts may not be utilized in ways other than the promotion of the AVMF REACH Program to prospective donors, i.e. no implied association, endorsement, or partnership with the clinic is permissible
• Do not use photos of clients or patients without obtaining prior written permission

Handling of payments

• All online credit card donations can be done through the QR code.
  • Donations made via this QR code will ensure the donor gets a tax deduction letter from the AVMF.
• If the practice or a client would like to write a check it should be made out to the AVMF and in the memo line write REACH Program.
  • All checks to be sent to: AVMF, Attn: Melanie Kreiling, 1931 N Meacham Rd. Ste 100, Schaumburg, IL 60173
  • A tax deduction letter will then be sent to the practice or client for the gift.
• If cash is collected, a check must be written by the clinic with a note included stating, “cash collected for REACH”. The check should be made out to the AVMF.
  • All checks to be sent to: AVMF, Attn: Melanie Kreiling, 1931 N Meacham Rd. Ste 100, Schaumburg, IL 60173
  • No tax donation letter will be provided for any cash collected.

• By downloading the AVMF REACH logo and materials, you agree to the following:
  • You will abide by AVMF guidelines regarding all fundraising activities and solicitations for the AVMF REACH Program, including use of the AVMF REACH logo.
  • All content you provide for AVMF REACH fundraising activities and solicitations will be original to you, in the public domain, or used with appropriate permission by license, and will not infringe on the intellectual property rights (including copyright) or privacy rights of any third party.
  • You will only use photos (provided by you) of individuals and patients with written permission.
• You agree to indemnify the AVMF from all liabilities and expenses arising from your breach of any of the above terms or any intentional or negligent act or omission.
