Crisis support
Overview
When veterinary professionals suffer a personal loss that affects their ability to work, their coworkers, staff, clients, and animals suffer too. The new AVMF crisis support program allows the Foundation to support veterinarians, veterinary students, and others who care for animals during periods of personal or professional crisis.
Caring for the caretakers
In 2021, a house fire left Dr. Maddock’s family devastated. Reduced to rubble, all that stood of the house was a statue of St. Francis.
